Features All our blades and grips are molded of a variety of specially formulated materials that have been thoroughly tested to meet the specific performance requirements of each of our models. Tempered aluminum shafts run the full length of the blade in all Carlisle paddles and oars to ensure maximum strength and stiffness. Carlisle shafts are made of the highest quality tempered aluminum. Shaft diameter and wall thickness are selected to provide maximum strength, minimum weight and flex characteristics for each paddle's intended use. Options For quick takedown, you just push a button and twist. Many of our paddles and oars come with a a takedown option that allows them to be quickly disassembled for easy stowing.
